New Breach Makes Single Sign-On Vulnerable

Many of us use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or links sent to our email accounts as a way to sign into various online services versus using passwords. Unfortunately a recent data breach now makes that vulnerable to a hack, as described in this video from Bloomberg Technology.

Details from Bloomberg on recent data breach

The video explains how 1.2 billion people had their social accounts, emails, phone numbers, and passwords available for hackers to access. This makes it more critical why you must use multi-factors when accessing your online accounts.

We strongly recommend using 3 factors as the best way to secure yourself online since 2 factors also have vulnerabilities. But whatever you chose, due to the risks with passwords and single sign-on, make sure you always use at least 2 factors to protect yourself online.
